Who we are

Image Civil Engineering Ltd is responsible for the information you give us through this website. Our office is at Stand No. 167 Deport Road, Ndola, Zambia. You can reach us about your information at info@imagecivilengineering.co.zm.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us:

• When you send a message through our contact form: your name, email address and message, and, if you give them, your phone number and the type and location of your project.
• When you apply for a job through our Careers page: your name, email address, phone number, CV, any cover letter, and the vacancy you applied for.

To protect our forms from spam, the website briefly holds the internet address of the device that sends a form, only in its working memory, to count how many forms it sends. It is never saved with your message or application.

Why we use it

• Messages: to reply to you and to discuss and quote for your project.
• Job applications: to assess your application and contact you about it.

We use your information only because you agree to it, by ticking the box on each form. We do not use it for marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means.

Who can see it

Your messages and applications are kept in a part of the website that can only be opened with a staff login. We give those logins only to staff who need them, such as those handling enquiries and recruitment. CVs are never shown publicly, and are not sent by email.

We use outside services to run the website and our email, and they process information only on our behalf. We share your information with no one else unless the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

• Messages: we keep them only as long as we need them to answer you and follow up on your project, then delete them.
• Job applications and CVs: we keep them only as long as we need them for recruitment, then delete them.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.

Cookies and other websites

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie it sets is for our staff when they log in to manage the website.

The map on our Contact page is provided by Google Maps. When it loads, Google receives your device’s internet address and may set its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy. If you contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are handled under WhatsApp’s own terms.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2021 you have the right to:

• ask what information we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
• have wrong or incomplete information corrected;
• have your information deleted;
• object to, or ask us to limit, how we use your information;
• receive your information in a form you can pass to someone else;
• withdraw your agreement at any time. This does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.

To use any of these rights, email info@imagecivilengineering.co.zm. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on your request.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question or concern about how we handle your information, please contact us first and we will do our best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, which oversees data protection in Zambia.
